YOU CAN DROP OFF YOUR SOFT PLASTICS AT PARTICIPATING COUNTDOWN STORES IN AUCKLAND, NORTHLAND, HAMILTON AND WELLINGTON.
PLEASE NOTE COLLECTIONS WILL RESTART AT THE WAREHOUSE AND HUCKLEBERRY STORES ON MONDAY 1ST JUNE.
IF THE BIN IS NOT IN ITS USUAL PLACE, PLEASE CHECK INSIDE THE STORE.
The Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme collects from selected retail stores in Auckland, Waiheke Island, Northland, Waikato and Wellington regions. The Soft Plastic Recycling bins are available for use at a number of Countdown, The Warehouse, and other locations.
We match how much we collect, with New Zealand’s capacity to process soft plastic materials so you know that what you drop off gets recycled in Aotearoa. This is why have re-started the service at a reduced number of stores in Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton, where the processors are also closely located.
We are planning to add drop off points in new regions over the next few months.
